Common Themes from Comp Plan Meetings Held in June

Thank you to everyone who participated in the listening sessions to update the City of York Comprehensive Plan held on June 11 and 12. Over two days, we heard from nine groups representing key parts of the community, including real estate professionals, property managers, young professionals, public sector employees, small business owners, boards and commissions, education leaders and teachers, social service providers, youth sports representatives, and major employers and from a session for the general public.

Common themes from the sessions included strong housing demand, interest in business growth and recreation options, and the need for expanded services like transit, childcare, and mental health. These insights will directly shape the goals and strategies of the Comprehensive Plan.
